A discussion of the story, “The Adventure of the Second Stain” on Tuesday, September 3rd at 7pm.

The meeting will be held at the usual place, near the campus of UBC. Please send an email if you require more information.

We will also discuss what story to do in October. We can go on to His Last Bow or go back to The Hound of the Baskervilles.

Guests are always welcome.

Parking update for movie night

Looking forward to seeing people at the movie, Saturday at 7 at Langara.  There’s been a slight change in parking because of construction: there will be no parking in front of Langara, and the parking lot is closed after 7pm, so that leaves free street parking on Main Street north of 48th Avenue. It’s about a 10 minute walk to Langara’s main entrance from there.

Summer evening at the movies

Please join us for the 2nd annual Petrels’ Movie Night at Langara College!

What film? They Might Be Giants – 1971 – directed by Anthony Harvey, starring George C. Scott and Joanne Woodward

When? Saturday, July 13th at 7pm

Where? Room B 152 at Langara College. Enter the lobby at the main College entrance at 100 W. 49th Avenue. There will be a sign in the lobby and someone to escort you up to the 3rd floor. Or you can risk trying to find room A363a on your own (not recommended).

Where to park? There is free street parking right outside the College on the south side of 49th Avenue between Columbia and Ontario Streets. Don’t try to park in the Langara College Parking Lot, it’s closed on Saturday evenings.

What to bring? A little snack to share, if you’re able. Leah will provide popcorn, tea, and cold drinks.

What if you get lost? Contact Leah at 778-389-2568.

Sherlock Holmes wakes up Dr. Watson early one winter morning to rush to a murder scene at the Abbey Grange, near Chislehurst, Kent. Sir Eustace Brackenstall has been killed, apparently by burglars………..
