The Stormy Petrels had a very festive, fun evening to close out 2022.

The new year will start with the Petrels celebrating Sherlock Holmes’s birthday.
When: Saturday, January 7, 2023
Time: 10:00 a.m.
Where: Milltown Bar & Grill, 101 – 9191 Bentley St, Richmond (access only through Marpole, at the south end of Granville Street)

The Stormy Petrels will set their books aside for December’s jollification.
The Petrel tree with its canonical decorations will be set up. Mrs. Hudson will brew the coffee and boil the kettle for tea.
There will be Sherlockian-themed games and songs. There are prizes to be won!
Come and enjoy food, fun and fellowship.
When? Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2022 at 7:00 pm

You are cordially invited to help the Stormy Petrels of B.C. celebrate their 35th year as Sherlockian Society. (A scion of The Bootmakers of Toronto)
Date: Saturday, September 10th. It will be an outdoor event.
Time: Registration will begin at 12:30 we will be asking for a modest fee of $10. Registration will include coffee/tea and muffins and you will receive a bag of Sherlockian goodness!
There will be games (croquet, “Silver Blaze” horseshoes, “Getting Gertie’s Garter” (the Leg Game) and more.
Tea time will feature a charcuterie board and wine.
Door prizes will be offered.
There will be a 50/50 draw (perhaps you could win back your $10)
Book sale table: The remainder of the Santaga donation (approximately 100 books)
Dinner will be a pot luck (bring your specialty to share and also bring your choice of meat/fish/chicken, etc. to cook on the barbecue.
Guest speaker: Author, Craig Stephen Copland
Please remember that we will be practising covid-awareness. We will have sanitizers throughout the property, and gloves for those who want them. Also, if you are not comfortable with “Pot luck”, feel free to bring your own sandwich and cutlery.

It seems like only yesterday that a small handful of Sherlock Holmes enthusiasts met after our founder, Barbara Roden, returned from a meeting of the Bootmakers of Toronto.
Now, 35 years later, we are still going strong!
Please help us celebrate on September 10, 2022 in South Surrey, B.C. for a day of fun and fellowship. Games, food, 50/50 draw, prizes and a book sale table!
