“The Empty House”

No hansom cabs stop at the curb,

The bell has lost its peel.

No servant’s heavy-laden steps

Up the staircase steal.

The window blinds – shut fast and tight,

The fireplace gone cold.

The pen lies still upon the page,

Cases left untold.

The ticking clock, which no one hears

Save for a small grey mouse.

The darkness looms, the thick fog falls

Upon the empty house!

“Vancouver Blue”

In 1992 Wayne Cope consulted with the Stormy Petrels of BC regarding a homicide investigation he was working on.  In the case, the victim, prior to death, made a Sherlockian reference. The book “Vancouver Blue” details several cases in which the author – a police officer and homicide detective had investigated.

The Stormy Petrels are invited to a public reading, a first-hand account of life as a police officer, and book signing at The Vancouver Police Museum located at 240 E Cordova Street, Vancouver on Saturday, May 2nd at 2pm.

“Holmes & Watson Save the Empire!”

“Once again the fate of the British Empire lies in the hands of the greatest crime fighting team in literature!”

A musical mystery fun for the whole family!

We are very pleased to announce that our own Stormy Petrel, actor Gordon Roberts, will once again take an important role on the stage as Dr. Watson.
