[Unfortunately, the Stormy Petrels will not meet in April. We will, however, resume our regular study sessions in May.

The Stormy Petrels of B.C. (a scion society of The Bootmakers of Toronto) are turning 30!
Why are we “stormy” and what do we have to do with “boot makers”? Find out at our all-day event taking place on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at the Billy Bishop Legion (Pub). Aha! Now I have your attention!
If you are in Vancouver, please come help us celebrate. If you have not yet planned on being in Vancouver but are looking for a good excuse, now is your chance! The West Coast is calling!
The day promises to be a fun day filled with food, fellowship and featured special guest speakers. The price for our special day is $30, payable at registration time at the door. But we would like to know if you are planning on attending, as we need to know how many cups of coffee to put on.
Registration will begin at 9:00 am and we will wind down at 4:00 pm when the pub will be open to the public (it is, after all, a public house).

The quiet little hamlet of Mount Vernon, Washington will come alive on November 5th when a flock of Stormy Petrels from the north will meet up with members of the Sound of the Baskervilles, who will head up from Seattle, along with other Pacific Northwest groups.

The Stormy Petrels have been invited to attend opening night of Ken Ludwig’s fast-paced, farcical adventure play “Baskerville – A Sherlock Holmes Mystery”
“Five actors play over 40 comical characters, filling the stage with suspects, allies and heirs in this zany whodunit based on Arthur Conan Doyle’s classic. When the wealthy Henry Baskerville is threatened by the fable of a bloodthirsty hound on the moors, Holmes and Watson are on the case to sniff out the culprit.”
The Stanley Theatre is located at South Granville/12th – Wednesday, September 14th show begins at 7:30
We will meet for a pre-show dinner at Barney’s – 2975 South Granville/14th at 6:00 pm
